Euro Truck Simulator 2

The Euro Truck Simulator 2 is a game from the SCS Software that allows you to drive across some European cities through a simulator game.

Do you want to start your journey as a truck driver in Europe but you can’t take a trip to there? The game is a good choice to travel across the European highways!

There are some tips and hints about the game. The game is available on Steam. If you want to drive across the United States, you can check out the American Truck Simulator.

1 – How to get the game

The game is available on Steam Store. Usually, when Steam does big sales, the ETS 2 gets a great discount. So, keep it on your wish list!

2 – How to start a new profile

After you purchase the game, it is time to install it to play the game for the first time. You just need to write your driver’s name and the company’s name to start a new profile. You can also change the language in this section.

3 – First job

Now, your profile is created and Euro Truck Simulator 2 will load to start a new game. Before the game starts it is required to choose where will be the garage. It is available all cities that are added in the game.

4 – Get money from the Bank

So, you just finished the tutorial and delivered your first order. But, you don’t have money to buy your truck and hire employers. Borrowing money from the bank could be a solution with you want a faster progress in the game. To be allowed to borrow money, you will need to work for some companies. It will be unlocked after you take some jobs. You just need to keep in mind that the bank will charge you daily until you finish your debts.

Quick job is the option that allows you to work to someone’s company. In this case, you will not pay the gas fuel and to repair the truck. However, if you make a late delivery or break the truck, the company will pay you less for the job.

Freight Market is the option that will discuss in the next topic. You need to have your own truck to get these offers.

5 – Buying new trucks

In this step, you already got money from the bank and you are able to buy your truck. Click on Truck dealers and choose the brand that is available for you. Remember, there is Truck dealers in almost all cities on the map. You have to drive close to the truck shop (There is a question mark on the map. It can be a Truck Dealer or a Recruitment Agency) to unlock that and discover which brand is there.

Another point is that you might have to improve your garage before buying a truck. Click on the Garage manager to do that.

Now, you can access the Freight Market to get jobs with your own truck. However, you need to have in mind that if you break the truck, you will need to pay the gas and to repair in the service area

6- Hire employers

In the option Recruitment Agency, you can hire employers to work for you. You can buy trucks to allow them to drive it.

7- Pay your debts

When you start earning enough money to manage your company, you can pay back all that you have got from the bank.

8 – Get rich

You are working well and you have employers that are bringing money to your company. Keep in mind that:

• If you play like a Formula One driver and don’t follow the rules, your money will decrease faster because you might have to pay some fees and break the truck. So, you should avoid to drive with your own truck to not spending money repairing it.
• Do not sleep too late. When the bed symbol turns red, it’s time to sleep as soon as possible. Use the same strategy to the fuel or do it earlier.
• You can sort by the job offers as price per distance. It allows you to see which offer is worth.

9 – Mods and DLC

Sometimes, we want to expand our options in the game. The SCS Software gives constantly updates for the game.

The developers made a huge effort to make it available for the community. So, it’s important to download on the official sources to support their work. Both mods are free!
